Finding Balance Between the Past, the Present, and Accountability

The past holds enormous power. It explains our emotions, our behaviours, and our reactions to the world. But when it comes to healing, we must ask an important question: where does accountability lie?
Healing Without Blame
Therapy isn’t about constantly reopening old wounds or searching for someone to blame. You don’t always have to rip the plaster off to understand what lies beneath. Sometimes, it’s enough to find understanding, acceptance, and forgiveness.

Accountability is not about self-blame. It’s about self-awareness. It’s about understanding that while the past has shaped us, it doesn’t have to define us.
When we reach that point, accountability becomes empowerment — the moment we reclaim authorship of our own story and begin to live fully, here and now.
